Read Reviews about the Authentic Recovery Center:
“I went through an addiction treatment center in Minnesota in 2005. I live in Santa Monica and when I got out of treatment I had a very tough time finding local outpatient treatment programs in the area. I initially found ARC on the internet and after researching their treatment options, I chose to enroll in the daypatient program. It was exactly what I needed. The program helped me tremendously with returning to my life. Going through treatment is hard, but getting back into life clean and sober is even harder. The daypatient program helped me do that in the most seamless way possible. The clinical approach is highly desirable and I would recommend this facility to anyone that is returning to Los Angeles and needs aftercare support.”

“I received my second DUI in 2009 and was told I needed to complete alcohol education classes in order to keep my driver’s license. I was given a few options by my attorney and ARC was one of them. I spoke with a counselor and decided to complete the daypatient treatment program, actually because it offered the fastest way for me to get my required hours done in the shortest period of time. I really only attended the program because I had to but it turned out to be one of the best things I’ve done for myself for a long time. I really didn’t understand why I drank the way I did and the way the program is designed helped me to understand myself in a different way. I didn’t intend to stay sober, but I have and I really enjoy it. On another note, the judge apparently thought very highly of the ARC facility because I was given the option of extending my probation or deferring to enrollment in ongoing treatment with ARC. I chose to continue in the ARC program and I’m very happy that I did!”

My daughter completed 30 days of rehab at the Authentic Recovery Center in 2007. When it came time for her to leave, her therapist recommended she transition into the daypatient program and sober living. We had initially chosen the program primarily because of their clinical focus and we really hadn’t thought about anything beyond 30 days of treatment. When it came time to leave, my husband and I realized how lucky we had gotten in choosing the program for other reasons as well. You really don’t think about what you’re going to do in the future when you’re in crisis in the moment! Essentially, they offer so many different methods for treatment that there is a program that is right for any situation. Other people we spoke to in family group had had loved ones in other facilities in the past and they talked with us about the counselors endlessly recommending more and more residential treatment. They pointed out that in those centers, there really wasn’t any effective transition treatment offered, just more and more residential. Well that’s not the case at ARC. Everything is mapped out with the future in mind. Our daughter did really well in the aftercare component of the program and has been clean and sober since July, 2007. We are very grateful that we found ARC first.”

How Daypatient Services Work
The primary focus in the daypatient program is to meet the individual where they are currently at. This means that there are essentially different approaches implemented in this program contingent on the reasons for the initial enrollment.
Overall, the daypatient program philosophy is based on the concepts of dual diagnosis treatment. This means that our primary objective is to understand, diagnose and continue to treat the underlying psychological issues that often predate the exhibited patterns of substance abuse.
More often than not, the behaviors of drinking and using are just the tips of the iceberg. Even after a pathway to recovery is established, there often exists below the surface a hardened psychological system of negative beliefs, emotional instability and unresolved issues. Daypatient represents the opportunity to work on these underlying issues clinically in a program designed to expedite the individual process of change.
